These documents describe what the app actually does. They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and they are not legal advice — that review happens before launch.
1.What a cookie is here#
A cookie is a small value a site stores in your browser and sends back with every request. This site sets none. What it keeps instead sits in your browser's own storage, is never sent anywhere, and cannot be read by any other site — every item is listed below.
2.What is kept, and why#
Each item does one job. None is used for tracking, and deleting any of them loses only that setting.
rizq-themeLocal storage- Light or dark, if you picked one instead of following your device.Until you switch back to System
rizq-localeLocal storage- The language you picked, so the site opens in it next time instead of your browser's.Until you pick another language
rizq-metal-unitLocal storage- Gram, troy ounce or pound on the gold and silver price pages.Until you pick another unit
__convexAuthJWT_…__convexAuthRefreshToken_…Local storage- Keeps you signed in between visits.Until you sign out
rizq-pref-datesrizq-pref-numeralsLocal storage- How the app shows dates and numerals.Until you change them
rizq:zakat.lastMeetsThresholdLocal storage- Whether your wealth was above the nisāb last time, so the app can mark the day it first crosses.Until you clear this site's data
rizq:zakat.snapshotRecordedSession storage- Stops the same zakat snapshot being recorded twice in one visit.Until you close the tab
rizq:locale-switch-scrollSession storage- Keeps your place on the page when you switch language.A few seconds
3.No advertising or cross-site tracking#
There is no advertising network, no social pixel, and no cross-site tracker on this site. If we ever add product analytics it will be first-party, aggregate, and stated here before it ships.
4.Your control#
Clearing this site's data in your browser signs you out and resets these settings; nothing is lost from your account. The zakat calculator works with storage blocked entirely, because it needs no account.
