How Rizq Trackr works

It shows its working

Every zakat figure comes with the full trace — which madhhab's ruling applied, which nisāb standard and its gram figure, the live metal price and when it was fetched, every asset line, every deduction, and the final calculation. A number you cannot check is a number you cannot trust.

It never picks a madhhab for you

Where the schools differ — on jewellery you wear, on whether metals pool with cash, on which nisāb governs — Rizq Trackr tells you which position produced your result and why, rather than quietly choosing one and presenting it as the answer.

Not all property is zakatable

A home you live in is not. A property you rent out is not — only the rent is, and that arrives as ordinary income. A property you hold to sell is, as trade goods. Rizq Trackr asks what each asset is for, and shows you which ones counted.

Spending is information, not failure

Expenses are shown in clay, never alarm red. The app is built around rizq as provision received — what came in, what it went to, and what is owed on what remains.

Three steps, and the working is shown

  1. Record what comes in

Income, expenses, savings, gold and silver. Or scan a receipt and let the phone read it.

  2. Choose your madhhab

Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki or Hanbali, and which nisāb standard governs.

  3. See the figure and its reasoning

Every line that counted, every one that did not, the threshold used and the price behind it.

One day a year is the calculation. The app is the other 354.

Zakat is due on what you still hold when the year turns. The hard part is knowing what you held.

  • Hawl tracked

Counts the lunar year and tells you when zakat falls due.

  • Scan a receipt

Amount, date and merchant filled in, read on your device. The photo is only stored if you choose to keep it.

  • Purpose-aware assets

Lived in, rented, or held for sale. Only trade goods count.

  • Live metal prices

Gold and silver by weight and karat, valued as the market moves.

  • Four schools, side by side

Each madhhab's figure, labelled, with the opinion it applied and why.

  • Zakat al-Fitr

Per person in your household, priced by the staple you give.

  • Income and spending

Every entry in both calendars, with budgets and twelve months of trends.

  • Savings with history

Balances that never change without a reason you can see.

  • Ribā flagged

Interest in your transactions is spotted, so you can set it aside.

  • Debts, both waysPlus

Owed and owing, with repayments. What you owe reduces your zakat.

  • Live stock pricesPlus

Daily prices and history for the shares you hold.

  • WassiyahPlus

The Islamic will in seven steps, every heir's share with its reasoning.

The calculation is free. Always.

The zakat calculation, Zakat al-Fitr, tracking, currencies, live prices, sync and export are free, for good. Plus adds receipts, stocks, debts, your household, your giving and your will.

Six screens, in the order you use them

What comes in, what goes out, what you set aside, what you hold — and the zakat that falls due on it.

  1. Step 1 of 6: Home

    Know where you stand

Zakat due, the threshold it crossed, and when the year completes.

The Home screen: $91.50 of zakat due with a Mark as paid button, the next due date in both the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, live gold and silver prices, and this month's totals.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Income

    Every rial, both calendars

Hijri and Gregorian on every entry, because the year that matters is lunar.

The Income screen: a search field, this year's and this month's income, and a salary entry dated in both calendars.
  3. Step 3 of 6: Expenses

    Spending is information

Shown in clay, never alarm red. What came in, and where it went.

The Expenses screen: this month's spending in clay rather than red, with an eating-out and a groceries entry, each dated in both calendars.
  4. Step 4 of 6: Savings

    Watch a goal fill up

Balances with history, so a number never changes without a reason.

The Savings tab: the total saved, and savings goals with progress bars towards their targets.
  5. Step 5 of 6: Wealth

    Not everything counts

Gold zakatable, the car not. The app asks what each asset is for.

The Assets tab: 24-karat gold bangles marked zakatable, a villa marked not zakatable, and a stock holding marked zakatable.
  6. Step 6 of 6: Zakat

    Every step of the working

The figure due, the threshold it crossed, and which rule produced it.

The Zakat screen: $687.90 due, wealth measured against the silver nisāb, and the start of the working, which names the madhhab applied and flags the rules still awaiting scholarly review.

One number, taken apart

A zakat figure is only as trustworthy as the working behind it. On the Zakat screen that working is not hidden behind the number — it sits beneath it, in layers, and every layer can be checked.

  • What is due

2.5% of your zakatable wealth — one fortieth — to the cent.

  • What it was measured against

Your wealth beside the nisāb it crossed, with the metal and the gram weight that set the threshold.

  • Whose ruling applied

The madhhab you chose, named in the result. Where the schools differ, the app says which position produced your figure.

The zakat calculation is free, and stays free.

Plus is for the rest of your financial life: receipts, stocks, your household, your giving, your will.

Other currencies are today's rate, as a guide. You're charged in US dollars or Saudi riyals.

Built for people being careful

You pay every year
And you would rather check the arithmetic than take a website's word for it.
Your wealth is not just cash
Jewellery, bullion, a property you rent out, stock you hold. Each is treated on its own terms.
You follow a madhhab
And you want the calculation to follow it too, and to say so.

Two nisāb standards, because scholars use both

The nisāb is the threshold below which no zakat is due. It is classically given as 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver — 20 mithqāl and 200 dirhams. AAOIFI and most Western zakat charities publish 85 grams and 595 grams instead.

The silver threshold is substantially lower, so it brings more payers into scope. Rizq Trackr lets you choose, states which standard produced your figure, and shows the gram weight it used.

What it does not do

It never connects to your bank
There is no bank integration, no Plaid, no open-banking link, and no screen for bank credentials. You enter what you choose to enter.
It never asks for a password to your money
Sign-in is a one-time code, a passkey, or Sign in with Apple. Rizq Trackr has no password field for any financial account, because it connects to none.
Receipts are read on your device
Receipt scanning uses Apple's on-device Vision framework: the image is read on your phone and never uploaded for recognition. It is stored only if you tick “keep the image”, which is off by default.
Every figure shows its working
The calculator publishes the full trace — the ruling applied, the threshold used and its gram weight, the metal price, and every line that counted or did not. You can check it, or take it to someone who can.

Questions people actually ask

The arithmetic is tested. The methodology register lists every ruling the engine applies and its current verification status. Check the working, or take it to someone you trust.
